Apart 6

Naruto never thought that seeing him, once again, could awaken that kind of anger inside of him. He was more than happy , obviously, but he was mad too, he had left him, without even looking behind to say something, coward. That jerk he hated to love.

Naruto slowly got up, frozen, his eyes were popping out of his head, he was still not sure in either believe it or not and he was backing off step by step, not to run away, just to get a better view of what was real and what it wasn't.

"You… " Naruto began breathless "...What the fuck are you doing here?" He was so angry "You came to laugh at me?"

"No…" He said as he got closer

"To make fun of me?" He didn't understand why he was back

He kept coming closer and Naruto kept backing off

"NO!"

"THEN WHAT?" HE EXPLODED "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM M--"

"I love you" He said, looking into Naruto's eyes, deep down.

For some time, the rain was all that could be heard.

"What? Is that some kind of sick joke of yours? WHY DID YOU COME BACK, SASUKE?"

"I'VE LOVED YOU ALL ALONG"

"OHH, HAVE YOU REALLY?" Sarcasm happened instantly

Sasuke didn't speak, what the hell was that? Was Sasuke serious? Naruto wanted to comprehend what was occurring. Naruto kept on looking at him, he would get in the act:

"THEN WHY? WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME HERE? YOU KNEW I LOVED YOU! WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME BEHIND?" Nothing Naruto could say to him would express exactly how he felt that day "You have no idea how much I missed you, how much it hurt me, how much I cried and YOU didn't even turned to me to say something that day!"

"DO YOU THINK IT WAS EASY FOR ME? DO YOU KNOW WHY I DIDN'T TURN AT YOU?"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER ANYM-"

"I WAS SOBBING THE HELL OUT OF ME, I KNEW THAT IF I SAW YOUR FACE AGAIN I WOULDN'T FIND THE STRENGHT I NEEDED TO LEAVE" He paused "When you said "Stay" to me, that day, I… I barely made to the cab…" He breathed again "The day I came to your house… To say those things to you… Was the worst day of my life…"

"YOUR LIFE? YOUR LIFE?????" Sasuke was being so selfish! "WHAT ABOUT MY LIFE? YOU LEFT ME ON MY KNEES SCREEMING YOUR FUCKING NAME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND YOU THINK IT WAS THE WORST DAY OF YOUR LIFE???

"I AM SORRY" Sasuke sounded pained "I AM REGRETTING IT EVERYDAY"

"HOW DO YOU THINK I FELT WHEN I SAW YOU WAVING A DAMN GOODBYE TO ME?" Naruto wasn't finished " HOW DO YOU THINK I SPENT MY LIFE THESE MONTHS?"

"I-" Sasuke couldn't find space to explain

The tears were flowing from Naruto's eyes, his hands were clutching with anger, his legs were firm to the ground.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF HOW IT IS TO BE BY SOMEONE'S SIDE AND NEVER REALLY HAVE HIM?" He gave one step forward, just one to get a better look of his eyes

" I DO " He replied instantly, as if offended "THAT'S HOW I FELT EVERYDAY YOU WERE AT MY REACH"

Naruto stared at him surprised, his face was somehow so ardent, Naruto was starting to believe in everything, the rain got worse.

"WHY LEAVE THEN? WHAT HAD I DONE TO YOU, BESIDES TELLING YOU I LOVED YOU?"

A thunder grew into the dark

"…" Sasuke slowly blinked "I couldn't admit to myself I had fallen for… Another guy" He turned as if he was ashamed of himself "I thought that if I left I'd forget you… But I couldn't… Since a long time, I've loved you, and when that all happened I felt enclosed, there were no more excuses to be apart from you" He continued looking down "You felt the same way as I…"

Both of them were still beneath the falling rain, so many feelings were present, anger, sorrow, fear, doubt, love, hope, besides so much more. Both of them were trembling, not out of cold.

Another thunder

Naruto looked down, then up, dense:

"Why now? Why did you decide to not be ashamed of it now?" His voice reached a calm tone, as if it was a final but vital question for him. "What changed?"

Sasuke did not respond, just remained looking at him

"ANSWER ME, DAMN IT!"

"I had a dream…"

"You must be joking" He laughed out loud even though he didn't think it was funny

"…With your parents"

What?

"I was there, alone, sitting on a swing, the same one I found you six years ago, on that yard you were crying" He went on

Naruto was so into it that the rain appeared to stop only for him

"They came out of nowhere and kept asking me why I was doing that to you if I felt the very same way" Sasuke was deeply involved.

He paused, breathed and kept going.

"I answered I was ashamed a few times, so many times… But the more I explained the more questions they made me" Sasuke began to breath heavily, like he was holding something on his throat.

"And after some many questions, I didn't have any more excuses to give them, I had seen it was all a bunch of shit with no real meaning, just a lot of non-important reasons, so I…"

Naruto was in shock as he remembered himself, like a flashback, grabbing the portrait from the ground: "Please…Someone… Bring him back…"

"…I decided to come here and…"

A dream? His parents? Sasuke loved him too? He was so stunned with it all

"…Listen… I don't know if it's too late, but I'm telling you, I love you, I love you so much, Naruto" His eyes were telling the truth "I'm sorry for what I've done… I'm so sorry" He gave a step forward too

"I-You lov-" Naruto shook his head, he couldn't think straight, it was so much information in so short period of time.

Sasuke saw he was preparing to run away and got to him faster enough to hold him.

"Don't… Leave" He whispered "Please"

"Why not?" Anger again "YOU LEFT ME!" He started to writhe trying to escape from his hands

"'I'M SORRY" He yelled

"LET ME GO"

"I' M SORRY" Louder

"GET OFF MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

"I… CAN'T" Even louder. Sasuke embraced him more strongly now, he refused to lose him again

"I HATE YOU!" Naruto was sobbing on Sasuke's arms "I HATE YOU SO MUCH FOR LEAVING"

Naruto lowered himself, as he cried still on Sasuke's arms, and let all the strength of his legs fade and fell into the ground, Sasuke followed his movement, and both of them stood down on the rain, holding each other, on the floor. It was as if time didn't pass for neither of them, they stayed still for a long time.

Naruto didn't want to leave, he was finally in Sasuke's arms, but he messed it up so much, and yet as much as he tried Naruto couldn't be angry with him. Still on his embrace, Naruto felt a teardrop falling down to his face, it didn't belong to him, it was different someway, he looked up, he saw his friend staring at the rain, to the dark sky up above, bawling so much, silently. He was suffering too. Why the fuck to continue that bunch of crap when they both longed to be together? As much as Sasuke had hurt him, seeing him that way, somehow, was hurting Naruto even more. He could feel the strength Sasuke was using to hold him, it was tight, it was like he was afraid. Why then? Why to continue with all of that? Naruto decided to broke the silence.

"I… " During that sentence, he felt as if the other missing half of his soul came back to where it never should have left "…Forgive you" He whispered

Sasuke turned to him, looked deep down his friend's eyes and smiled in a way impossible to describe "Thank you… I'll make it up for you... by some means"  

They both got up and as they stood up looking at each other the whole time, they stared at their eyes and approached forward to one another's bodies. Sasuke's was the first one to close his eyes, followed immediately by Naruto's right after they touched each other. At last. It was a kiss full of emotion, a strong but delicate act, an instinctive and yet a meaningful one. The warmth invaded Naruto's body, his stomach was dancing along with the kiss, his head spinning and his body diffusing in the same rhythm as the storm's, Sasuke's arms were at Naruto's face now, pulling it closer, it was like they were breathing each other's breaths. Their tongues whirling around like they couldn't get enough. They slightly moaned once in a while, especially Naruto.  That kiss lasted forever for exactly four minutes and thirty-seven seconds.

The moment  they stopped they didn't pull out their faces, they were still touching each other's lips, closed eyes, and smiling. They opened their eyes and grinned at one another, first time Sasuke had ever blushed in Naruto's sight. Both of them headed to Naruto's actual house, not a word between the two of them, just the sound of the rain falling from the sky, words weren't necessary to show what they were feeling in that moment.

It was still rainy as they both got in the house, they were soaked. Sasuke came first followed by Naruto, who closed the door still wondering if that was all happening.
Naruto stopped when he, being pushed by the hand by Sasuke, passed by the portraits. He looked at his smiling parents.

Mum, Dad… Thank you… He smiled too

"Hey, everything okay?" Sasuke asked preoccupied

"Ah yeah, it's nothing" He took his eyes off them to look at Sasuke, he was staring at him in a weird way.

"What…?" Naruto wondered

Sasuke gave a crooked smirk

"I love you, Dobe"

Naruto laughed, amazed by how the mood swings could last so long

"I love you… Asshole"

"You know... You look kinda hot shirtless and… Wet" Sasuke stood with just his right eyebrow up and grinning at him

"Shut up, I was nearly abused!" He told blushed, purpled actually.

Sasuke laughed as he saw Naruto's face turning red. He extend his hand to him:

"Come" Still smiling

The moment they touched each other's hands the rain ceased from falling.
